The role of the OACIQ is first and foremost to protect the public, notably by fostering a genuine culture of compliance among licence holders. The organization requires agency executives to design, communicate, and oversee an internal program that adheres to the guidelines published by the OACIQ. Compliance refers not only to respecting laws and regulations, but also to carrying out the duties of a real estate broker with prudence, diligence, competence, integrity, and courtesy, while promoting a spirit of collaboration.
